FOUR people have died after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned 20 kilometres from Outjo on the Otjiwarongo road.
A Namibian Police spokesperson in the Otjozondjupa region, inspector Maureen Mbeha, told The Namibian the accident occurred at about 11h00 on Friday.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver (47) of the sedan vehicle lost control of the car, which overturned, killing him and one female passenger (20) on the spot.
Another passenger, a 47-year-old woman, died upon arrival at the Outjo State Hospital, while another woman (56), died while being transferred to hospital in Windhoek.
A 61-year-old woman sustained injuries and is receiving treatment at the Outjo State Hospital.
Mbeha urged motorists to exercise caution when driving on public roads as the region is receiving heavy rains and roads are slippery.
