Former Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) parliamentarian Vipuakuje Muharukua on Tuesday confirmed that he has joined Swapo.
At a press conference held in Windhoek, he said Namibia has enjoyed a stable economy for the past 34 years, a milestone no “intellectual” can ignore.
“Our votes must translate into a stronger Namibia, where everyone is happy,” Muharukua said.
He said Namibia is a stronger nation than it was 34 years ago.
“We must not be sold dreams, we must not be delusional,” he said.
Muharukua said he would be voting for “the president I know will do it”, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, in the upcoming elections.
“Voting for Netumbo is the right thing to do,” he said.
