THE Deputy Minister of Justice on Tuesday urged Namibians to be vigilant and ensure that all nations benefit equally in the global village market.

Alpheus !Naruseb was making his contribution on the White Paper on Namibia’s Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Management in the National Assembly. Naruseb also congratulated the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Hidipo Hamutenya and his Deputy Dr Kaire Mbuende for producing the document. He said that Namibians had a monumental task to ensure that global negotiations achieved the desired equitable results.Africa in particular needed to be attentive and ensure that the continent was not impoverished again by the rich and the powerful as had happened during the slave trade and the colonialist era.He noted that as the White Paper correctly emphasised, economics was the engine for progress and the raison d’etre for the formation and survival of nation states.”It is thus imperative on us, particularly the small developing nations, to promote world peace and security based on international law, so as to ensure and protect good management of economic interdependence among nations,” !Naruseb noted. He added that these were the basic tenets that could secure a prosperous future for Namibia and indeed for all nations:big, small, rich and poor.It was for this reason that the White Paper on Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Management made the point that it was of crucial importance to ensure sustainable peace and security and to nurture a culture of democracy, good governance and the rule of law as preconditions for stability.- NampaNaruseb also congratulated the former Minister of Foreign Affairs Hidipo Hamutenya and his Deputy Dr Kaire Mbuende for producing the document. He added that these were the basic tenets that could secure a prosperous future for Namibia and indeed for all nations:big, small, rich and poor.It was for this reason that the White Paper on Foreign Policy and Diplomacy Management made the point that it was of crucial importance to ensure sustainable peace and security and to nurture a culture of democracy, good governance and the rule of law as preconditions for stability.- Nampa
