STILL a baby in the industry, NamibiaFloral and Events is a Namibian company wholly owned by Corrie du Plessis.
he florist company which operates from the Khomas Grove Mall has been operational for two months but has a manager who has been in the trade for more than 40 years.
Elizabeth du Plessis, Corrie’s mother, is the manager of the shop and one of the main reasons this shop exists today. Corrie says he worked as a public relations officer for many years and later started doing events management. He also said his mother mentioned to him that one of her wishes was for him to open his own florist and events management business so that she would be able to manage the shop and work for him.
In May, Corrie opened the shop which now boasts flowers of different sorts including his “king and queen proteas, high society roses, St Joseph lilies and many others which are not common in the Namibian market. He also says he has a few ‘high profit companies’ on his portfolio for events management including MTC, Misa and Prosperity Holdings.
Corrie says he has an exceptionally big launch planned for later this year which will be “brilliant”. He can be contacted on +264 81 210 9851.
