Finance minister Ericah Shafudah on Friday reappointed Namibia Revenue Agency (Namra) commissioner Sam Shivute for another five-year period.
The announcement was made by Namra in a statement.
Shivute’s appointment will see him at the head of the agency from 1 March 2026 until 28 February 2031.
In the statement, Namra board chairperson Anna Nakale-Kawana said “the board congratulates Shivute on his reappointment and commends him for his dedication and trust that he will continue spearheading institutional growth and excellence, which serves as a strong foundation for Namra’s vision of becoming a world-class revenue agency”.
The board extended appreciation to the minister and the Cabinet for showing confidence in Shivute.
Shivute was first appointed as head of Namra in 2020.
