MANCHESTER – Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has been told that his future at the club is secure for ‘years to come’ by Joel Glazer, the son of the club’s new owner, the American tycoon Malcolm Glazer.
Joel, expected to be named as United’s new chairman later this month, claims that the 63-year-old Ferguson remains a crucial figure at the club following his father’s controversial 790-million-pound takeover.
