Today

This morning from 09h00, come see Olga’s Photo Design’s ‘50 Rays of Sun Through the Mist’ photography exhibition at the Swakopmund Arts Association. Enjoy the reflection of a journey across 10 000 kilometres, weaving together careers, landscapes and silent stories of resilience and hope till 24 February, free of charge.

This Weekend

The Namibia Beach Volleyball Hub and Namibia Volleyball’s CAVB Zone 6 Beach Volleyball Tournament kicks off this Friday at DTS in Windhoek. Ten top southern African countries will compete till Sunday in this first leg. Expect high-flying action, intense rivalries and beach volleyball at its absolute finest.

Teachers and senior students of the Youth Orchestra of Namibia are hosting a chamber music concert this Friday at DR Church Windhoek Moedergemeente. Guest artist Angelika Fecki will join them on the violin. Entry is free from 18h00, though donations are welcome.

Mediclinic Windhoek is hosting a free Pregnancy Educational Day this Saturday from 08h00 to 13h00 at their training and development room. From planning to birth, gain information to help you prepare.

This Saturday is the first MultiChoice Namibia Spotlight with Adriano Visagie masterclass at the MultiChoice headquarters at Eros. There will be four sessions total for N$300 per person, including refreshments and materials. From these sessions you will gain practical acting techniques, business skills to build a profitable career, insights into exclusive industry opportunities and tools to tell your own authentic story.

From 07h00 on 21 February is the Finkenstein Trail Run. There’s a 4km and 8km route and entry is N$150 till midday today, N$200 from then on and N$50 for kids under 12. The first 30 finishers per category will receive a medal.

Also on the 21st is the Nedbank Cycle Challenge for seasoned pros and novices alike. It starts with a kiddies race, then the main race on the 22nd. There are distances of 25km, 60km and 100km, starting at the University of Namibia. Entry starts from N$50 and there are prizes to be won.

Next week

On 25 February, visual artist Nambowa Malua is launching his solo exhibition ‘Neotypes’ at the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre from 18h30. Entry is free and the images will stay up till 27 March.

The Franco Namibian Cultural Centre and the Japanese embassy to Namibia is hosting Dance: Namibia meets Japan next Thursday in their gallery. Dance troupe Ombetja Yehinga Organisation will perform with traditional Nihon-buyõ dancer Senyumeji Nishikawa. The cultural exchange and artistic dialogue will start from 18h00 and entry is free.

Get ready to experience the next level of electronic music! TabulaRasa returns to the stage for the highly anticipated Chapter IV at Eagle’s Beer Garden from 11h00 on 28 February.

Recurring

Drop in on quiz night and flex your cerebral cortex at Piccolo Cafe and Lounge every Tuesday from 18h30. Entry is N$30 per person for groups of maximum six.

On Wednesdays, you can grab two ice-cold beers from the tap for the price of one at Vinyls Music and Arts Cafe.

The Speakeasy at Liliencron Street is hosting ladies’ night every Wednesday with 50% off of all cocktails and meal options available.

Every Thursday, Kat Stahl is hosting swing dance classes at Delta Kindergarten between 18h00 and 19h00. Participation is N$150 per person per class. No Experience or partner needed.

On Fridays you can now join Nice Dance Kizomba dance classes at their Windhoek academy between 17h30 and 19h00 at the National Theatre of Namibia Rehearsal Room. Lessons are N$100 per person.

The National Theatre of Namibia is hosting the Stage Actors Training Lab 2026 every Saturday in their Rehearsal Room between 09h00 and 13h00. These sessions are for aspiring actors, emerging performers and professional actors seeking to refine their craft. N$50-per-class tickets are only available via Webtickets.

Beyond

Make Friends and Bla Bla Language Exchange, a recurring social activities event, will begin on 12 March at Urban Oasis Apartments at Freedom Plaza in Windhoek from 20h00 to 22h00. Come through, mingle and get acquainted free of charge every other Thursday.
