Etosha Is Not The Same

WHAT a pity! After 40 years of visiting Etosha once or twice a year, last year was probably our last visit.

We used to go there for three to four days at a time, driving out early in the morning, returning in time to prepare brunch, take a nap, drive out again during the late afternoon and most important, light a fire and braai and enjoy the evening with friends and family. And of course rushing to the waterhole when lions, elephants, rhinoceros, etc.come to drink water. Now visitors have to go to the restaurant, which is no different from many restaurants in all the towns in Namibia.Boring! With the tariffs now applicable, very few Namibians will be able to visit Etosha.I think the people in charge are making a big, big mistake.Marietjie Pottas, WindhoekAnd of course rushing to the waterhole when lions, elephants, rhinoceros, etc.come to drink water. Now visitors have to go to the restaurant, which is no different from many restaurants in all the towns in Namibia.Boring!
