The police in the Erongo region have announced that several firearms and other items currently held at Walvis Bay Police Station have been positively identified and linked to their lawful owners.
In a notice issued this week, the police say the items are recorded in the POL 7 Property Register under exhibit, lost and found property and are ready for collection by their rightful owners.
The list includes pistols, revolvers, rifles, a shotgun, a vector rifle, a Bosch grinder, two doors and a black leather jacket.
The police say the items have been verified and ownership has been established through internal processes.
The police have urged all listed owners to collect their property within 30 days from the date of the notice.
Owners are required to present valid identification and proof of ownership when visiting the station.
Senior inspector Judith Shomongula says failure to claim the items within the stipulated period may result in further administrative action in line with police procedures.
