The Environmental Investment Fund of Namibia (EIF) has appointed Romeo Muyunda as its new corporate communications manager, effective 1 March 2025.
Muyunda previously led communications at the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, as well as the Ministry of Education.
He has been recognised numerous times for his work in government communications. In 2023, Muyunda won the overall best communicator award at the inaugural Government Communication Officers’ Awards, hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology. He retained the title in 2024.
The EIF said Muyunda’s expertise will play a critical role in advancing its mandate of raising financial resources for environmental protection, natural resource management and promoting sustainable economic development.
