HAVING taken a musical hiatus, GMP signee Julius ‘Jeiyo’ Mtuleni has returned just in time to give everyone a much awaited summer hit in ‘As We Enter’ which promises to ease fans into a smooth and lit festive season.
Back with a bang, the track screams December and is perfect for a crackling fire chill session.
“The song is basically talking about entering the summer in style,” says the producer and vocalist.
Jeiyo says he chose to release this track because it is the perfect way to prepare fans for his upcoming album, out next year.
He will be releasing his sophomore project as a follow up to the wildly successful ‘Life’ album released in 2018 featuring an array of guests.
Addressing his musical break, the star says he was sorting out some personal stuff, which he promises to share more about on the upcoming album.
Jeiyo believes ‘As We Enter’ was the best song to be dropped first, and came to the decision after playing several options to friends and associates.
Jeiyo describes ‘As We Enter’ as a song with a truly Namibian sound aimed at soothing listeners through summer, after a long year of uncertainty and rough times.
The song was produced by himself, with label mate DJ Shoza assisting with the final touches, Pex Afrikah on the mixing and Gazza on the arrangement.
“This is a reminder that no matter how hard the times are, we should not forget to have a bit of fun and enjoy ourselves,” he says, encouraging fans to post their December content with this song as the soundtrack.
