We can all fake emotions. Some of us have perfectly mastered it and some of us are still getting there. But my point is; we can all fake emotions.
I was going through my WhatsApp chats and the overuse of the red and yellow faces are all unbelievably fake. Using emojis have become a habit. A bad habit, indeed. Placing this laughing emoji when deep down you feel like crying. I’ve heard that it isn’t cool to wear your heart on your sleeves but do we seriously need to hide behind the red and yellow faces? Do we really need to lie about how we truly feel?
We don’t even have to pretend we are OK when we know that we have already fallen apart. Because by doing this, the world is going to keep moving forward without looking back and not worrying about who is stumbling and needing help. Once you’ve felt like you finally need to get out of the dark shadow of emotions, nobody is going to notice you because you have already made them believe that ‘you are OK’. Lying about your deepest emotions is just too emotional. You might actually start lying to yourself that you are OK and sadly, you might fall for your own lie when you really need help. Open up your heart, let someone in to fix you. Wear your heart on your sleeves for once, for the better and whoever is willing to help you, will.
