Her year of reign as Miss Namibia 2013 has gone by in a flash but one thing Paulina Malulu would take from the experience is the fact that there is more pleasure in giving than receiving.
Paulina received so many prizes when crowned Miss Namibia and the free gifts and hampers have kept coming her way since. The humble beauty wants to share her good fortune with others and in collaboration with The Namibian newspaper, a make-over is up for grabs for one lucky reader.
To enter, simply send a photo of yourself, a short description of yourself, plus a very brief explanation why you should win the make-over. You may be a a young lady whois yet to find her style, a middle-aged woman who feels the need to revamp her appearance or a new mom who is in dire need of getting her groove back. Whoever you may be, or whatever your circumstances, this is the perfect opportunity to make that dream a reality.
“I feel the need to give back as I had so many sponsors and prizes after becoming Miss Namibia and would like someone else to get pampered like I often do. I want them to have the same opportunities I had and most importantly, I want to share the importance of grooming as a confidence boost,” Paulina tells The Weekender.
She stresses that often, people forget the importance of grooming in their daily lives, and that people are more likely to trust well-groomed people, especially in a professional setting. “As they say, first impressions last,” she says, quoting the old adage.
As part of the make-over, one lucky reader will walk away with a mini hamper, a free designer garment from a Namibian fashion designer as well as a photo shoot to remember the experience. The winner will receive tips on grooming from Paulina, who is a professional beautician herself. She reminds entrants that anyone can take part, both young or old. “As long as you are a woman who feels that you need a little help,” she says brightly.
