The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) says it will be using various platforms to ensure improved voter turnout.
Deputy director of voter and civic education Marilyn Kazetjikuria announced this at a stakeholders’ engagement on Friday.
“We will be going door to door to sensitise the youth and also use SMS notifications in terms of election dates,” she said.
The commission will also be conducting campus outreach exercises at various institutions of higher learning.
Kazetjikuria said young people comprise the majority of registered voters, hence the targeted efforts to ensure all participate in the elections.
