Electoral Commission of Namibia to inspect ballot paper production in South Africa amid controversy

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has announced it will send a delegation to South Africa to inspect the design, printing and packaging of ballot papers.

The delegation will depart on Sunday afternoon.

This comes amid an uproar among political parties over the awarding of a N$6.2-million ballot paper tender to the controversial South African company Ren-Form.

“The delegation includes authorised representatives from political parties and staff from the Electoral Commission of Namibia,” ECN spokesperson De Wet Siluka said on Sunday.
