An Eenhana resident and entrepreneur, Kapule Ndooya, was shot dead by the police after he allegedly slit his girlfriend’s throat on Saturday evening.
Police commissioner Zacharias Amakali reported that Ndooya was fatally shot by the police at Eenhana at about 03h30 on Sunday.
Amakali said Ndooya resisted the police and attacked police officers when an attempt was made to arrest him, following the killing of his girlfriend, Eva-Lena Kalimbo (31), in the Eveline area of Eenhana at about 22h45 on Saturday.
Kalimbo died after her throat and neck had been cut and she had been stabbed in the back, Amakali reported.
