Deutscher Turn und Sportverein (DTS) hosted a successful youth tournament recently which saw 50 teams taking part in five categories. Many of the clubs and schools came from as far as Otjiwarongo and Swakopmund.
DTS clinched the under-11 title which ended in a draw. Swakpmund FC lost to DTS and ended up scooping second place. Third place went to Ramblers.
The under-9 category was dominated by newcomer Athletic Club Football Academy who beat SKW Mambas 9-0 in the final. Third place was fiercely contested by the Ramblers who beat the Falcons Football Academy 4-3 to win bronze.
Under-7 was dominated by SKW, who did not lose a single match in a double round robin tournament. Runner up was the DTS followed by Ramblers.
In the under-13 category three Ramblers teams were among the top four, earning them Gold and Silver. Bronze went to Swakopmund FC.
Under-15 was also won by Ramblers A who beat SKW in the final 3-2. Third place went to the Ramblers B team.
