Drowned man found in swamp

A resident of Kamupupu village in the Tondoro constituency, Albert Sivava (39), who drowned in a swamp on Wednesday, was found on Thursday.

Kavango West regional chief inspector Raimberth Muronga says the body was retrieved at around 14h39.

“The deceased’s body was transported to Nkurenkuru police mortuary, pending autopsy,” Muronga says.

It is alleged that the deceased joined two boys swimming in the same swamp.

“The deceased was coming from the cucashops and sinked down while swimming,” Muronga states.
