Dog seriously injures neighbour

An Oshakati resident (35) was attacked by a neighbour’s dog on Saturday morning after he allegedly went to his house to greet him.

Oshana police spokesperson inspector Thomas Aiyambo in a police report on Sunday said the man, who is a resident of Evululuko at Oshakati East, entered the yard, where the owner chased him away, since he has a dispute with the victim’s brother.

“In the process the owner of the house went to the dog cage, opened it, and the dog bit the victim on his right hand and right foot. He sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Oshakati Intermediate Hospital by his brother,” Aiyambo said.

He said no case has been registered at the police yet, but the victim was advised to do so upon his release from hospital.

Police investigations continue.
