DJ Dreas returns to Namibia

ONE of Namibia’s top deejays, Andreas Nambambi, aka DJ Dreas, is back in the country.

He has been a resident deejay at Saggy Stone in South Africa for the past four months.

The 23-year-old DJ said he went to South Africa to build a community for himself and fellow Namibian creatives to thrive.

“That just basically means me creating event spaces, creating a community where like-minded people can exist,” he said.

DJ Dreas, through his residency, created space for Namibian creatives to enter the entertainment industry in South Africa.

Creatives like Thabani Makanza, Nino Pequeno and Tumi Mohammed have benefited from the space that the international DJ created in South Africa.

“I don’t really want to use the words ‘I’ve given’, it’s not about me giving anything. It’s about me just being a piece of the puzzle,” he said.

DJ Dreas will be deejaying at the Amis Day Club event this Saturday at The Social Club.
