Emma Hoogenhout Primary School in Windhoek was the recipient of the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group Desks for Education project administered by Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) – a subsidiary of the O&L Group.
Thirty desks were handed to the school last week, joining Otjinungua Mobile School in the Kunene Region, which received 25 desks, Cimbebasia Primary School – 40 desks, Augeikhas Primary School – 30 desks, Michelle McLean Primary School – 30 desks, Green Leaves in Babylon – 15 desks and Otjinene ECD Centre – 20 desks.
The two-seater desks are hand-crafted by NBL in collaboration with O&L subsidiary, Kraatz, and speak directly to the group’s 2025 vision of being a catalyst for positive change. Through various initiatives and projects over the past years, the O&L Group has demonstrated its commitment to education and children as strong pillars of its CSI portfolio. In total, the O&L Group Desks for Education project has so far manufactured and distributed 190 desks since inception in June 2019.
