Deputy Minister says ‘taken to heaven in a vision’

HEALTH Deputy Minister Petrina Haingura says she was taken to heaven in a vision on the night of January 12, and while there was given a message by an angel to tell people on earth.

Haingura, who is also the Secretary General of the Swapo Women’s Council, yesterday told an attentive Elcin congregation at Oshitayi village in the Oshana Region that on that night while she was sleeping, she was taken to heaven and entered it through a gate. As she entered, she was met by a man, whom she believes was an angel.”This man told me to tell people on earth to repent, as Jesus is on the way,” she told the packed church after retired Pastor Titus Ngula, who conducted the sermon, gave her an opportunity to address the congregation. She said this man then took her to a place where she saw fire and a group of people indulging themselves in destructive things such as drinking, murder and adultery.Haingura said the man then told her to tell people on earth to repent, as Jesus was on the way.”Some people are saying preachers make a noise when they are preaching, but the time to repent is now.Children respect parents.Repent, repent, repent,” she added.Haingura said it was not the first time she had been visited by the Holy Spirit.Although she could not remember the date, in 1984 while she was a student nurse at Oshakati State Hospital, she was also taken to heaven one night. She said as she slept, she saw a big fire emerging beside her and a man stepped out of it.This man, she claims, asked her if she was afraid. She said yes, but the man told her not to be afraid.Haingura said the man then took her into heaven, where they found a sleeping leopard. The man, she said, told her not to be afraid of the leopard and she could even touch the animal, which she did.Haingura said this man also took her to many places, including a church, where she found someone preaching but he could not see his face.”But I believe that this person must have been God,” she said.As she entered, she was met by a man, whom she believes was an angel.”This man told me to tell people on earth to repent, as Jesus is on the way,” she told the packed church after retired Pastor Titus Ngula, who conducted the sermon, gave her an opportunity to address the congregation. She said this man then took her to a place where she saw fire and a group of people indulging themselves in destructive things such as drinking, murder and adultery.Haingura said the man then told her to tell people on earth to repent, as Jesus was on the way. “Some people are saying preachers make a noise when they are preaching, but the time to repent is now.Children respect parents.Repent, repent, repent,” she added.Haingura said it was not the first time she had been visited by the Holy Spirit.Although she could not remember the date, in 1984 while she was a student nurse at Oshakati State Hospital, she was also taken to heaven one night. She said as she slept, she saw a big fire emerging beside her and a man stepped out of it.This man, she claims, asked her if she was afraid. She said yes, but the man told her not to be afraid.Haingura said the man then took her into heaven, where they found a sleeping leopard. The man, she said, told her not to be afraid of the leopard and she could even touch the animal, which she did.Haingura said this man also took her to many places, including a church, where she found someone preaching but he could not see his face.”But I believe that this person must have been God,” she said.
