DEATH AND DESTRUCTION …

Ongoing fighting between Palestinian militant group Hamas and Israel is sowing death and destruc- tion. By yesterday afternoon the casualty figures where 510 people killed in Gaza and 2 750 injured, 16 killed in the occupied West Bank and at least 80 injured, and 800 killed in Israel, with 2 243 injured. The figures had been reported by the Palestinian health ministry, Palestine Red Crescent Society and Israeli Medical Services. Photos: Al Jazeera
