After several years in farming, an experience that offered me a renewed perspective on life and a deeper understanding of Namibia’s diverse cultures and people, I am pleased to return to the media industry as interim chief executive officer of the NMT group of companies (The Namibian, Desert Radio and WordPress Namibia). This homecoming marks an exciting new chapter rooted in experience, perspective and a renewed commitment to quality journalism and innovation.
As of December 2025, the group is repositioning with immediate effect, with a strong focus on credible, high-quality journalism and the delivery of impactful, multi-platform solutions that add real value for our clients.
Together with Shinovene Immanuel (interim editor) and the executive committee team, I am committed to actively engaging with our readership and clients to better understand and even exceed their information and advertising needs.
The Namibian wants to continue to serve as a strong, independent and leading national news organisation, one that serves the public with integrity and purpose.
