Datsun returned to Namibia this past weekend bringing the dream of car ownership within reach of the country’s growing middle class.
The carmaker made its official return to Namibia on Saturday, 28 November at the Pupkewitz Nissan Showroom. Potential clients were offered the opportunity to not only view, but also to test drive the Datsun Go in order to have the full experience. Armand Barnard, the dealer principal at Pupkewitz Nissan said: “Bringing the Datsun Go into Namibia will enhance our competitive edge and enhance our marketing share in the lower A segment”.
The Go is a great family car with its spacious set up. The vehicle offers a 5 + 2 seating option allowing for more family members to go out to picnics of for drives along the country side. The Go also provides an extended cabin, making it easier to pack more luggage. The Go delivers segment leading power and torque through its 1.2l engine and perfect circle bore machining technology.
The accelerator is controlled electronically rather than a cable allowing for a smoother ride, less maintenance and lower emmisions.
As it is a great family car, the Go is also ideal for active young people who are always out and about in the city, the ones who seek a stylish, spacious and economical vehicle which fits in perfectly with their active lifestyles. The Go is designed to be the answer to their needs.
Buying a car may be an intimidating process considering the prices nowadays, however, Datsun aims to bring the car in a price segment below N$115 000, making it a real value proposition for first time new car buyers.
Sales and service will be initially established through various Pupkewitz Nissan dealerships throughout Namibia (Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, Ondangwa and Oshakati), which will soon be moderately altered into Pupkewitz Datsun dealerships.
