Renowned gospel artist Naftalie Amukwelele, known as D-Naff, was arrested in Windhoek on Friday on multiple charges of fraud.
Amukwelele was charged at the Windhoek Police Station around midday before being taken to the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court, where he was granted bail of N$5 000, according to the police.
The popular singer and motivational speaker faces six charges, three counts of forgery and three counts of uttering forged documents.

Amukwelele, who was represented by lawyer Kadhila Amoomo, is scheduled to appear in court again on 18 November.
