Brave Gladiators captain Zenatha Coleman and her Brave Warriors equivalent Peter Shalulile have been nominated for top prizes at the upcoming 2023 CAF Awards.
The sterling pair are among four Namibian nominations for the annual continental awards set for 11 December in Marrakech, Morocco.
Coleman, who stars for Fenerbache in Turkey, is on the shortlist of 30 for the CAF women’s player of the year award.
Shalulile, who recently fired Mamelodi Sundowns to African Football League glory, is part of the 30 nominees for the CAF men’s player of the year prize and the CAF inter-club player of the year shortlist which has 20 contenders.
Meanwhile, the Brave Warriors are one of 10 nations in the hat for the CAF national team of the year accolade, alongside Cape Verde, The Gambia, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique, Senegal and Tanzania. -Adapted from NFA.org.na
