Coastal fashion week fuses culture and style

Some attendees of this year’s Swakopmund Fashion Week.

Swakopmund Fashion Week (SFW), hosted at Swakopmund’s multipurpose centre, set the stage on fire over the weekend.

The event commenced with Beatrice Schultz welcoming attendants and featured a performance by singer Jordan.

Showcasing the rich tapestry of African fashion, designers from Namibia and Botswana took centre stage.

The Ritta&Becca Collection and Mosenki Designs from Botswana were featured, while Namibia’s Ishana Designs and Tabjoy Fashion Designers were also showcased.

Amid networking breaks, attendees fostered connections and cultural exchange.

Valencia Rethabile entertained the audience with her voice, and the spotlight continued to shine on Botswana’s Exclusive Designs and Pinkverl Designs, unveiling their creations.

Tabjoy Fashion Designers also exhibited their designs.

As the evening drew to a close, the founder of the SFW, Christ Lao, extended her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made the event a success.

The after-party was hosted at Infinity Lounge.

“It was an evening that showcased the beauty and diversity of African fashion, leaving an indelible mark on the fashion industry and cultural exchange,” Lao says.
