PREMIERSHIP defending champions Civics were one of the first casualties to suffer a defeat after the start of the domestic league, going down 1-0 to Black Africa on Saturday, while African Stars picked up four crucial points at the weekend.

Despite the loss by Civics, the two-time league champions managed to pull a 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates yesterday, giving them a point after the weekend’s matches.
