The City of Windhoek has assured residents that there will be no interruptions in the supply of water to the city on Friday.
This follows on a statement issued by the Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) on Thursday, in which Windhoek residents were informed of water supply interruptions on Friday due to a planned power outage at a Von Bach water supply substation.
In response, City of Windhoek spokesperson Lydia Shifa said the planned maintenance will not affect water supply.
“Although there will be no inflow into the reservoirs serving Windhoek during the maintenance period, we have put measures in place to ensure a continuous and reliable water supply,” Shifa said.
Residents are advised to use water sparingly to ensure water availability throughout this period.
