City of Windhoek donates compressor to Rehoboth

The City of Windhoek donated a compressor valued at N$22 383 to the Rehoboth Town Council recently.

Deputy mayor Cornvenus Klazen has expressed excitement about the equipment donation, saying it marks another step forward in strengthening inter-municipal collaboration.

Klazen says the compressor will significantly boost Rehoboth’s capacity in infrastructure maintenance, roadworks, and utility services, especially during nights as proper lighting is sometimes a challenge.

“The donation will surely help the council develop our town. This is an important donation to our town. The Rehoboth Town Council is grateful for the continued support from the capital city. This gesture is more than just the transfer of equipment. It is a powerful symbol of inter-municipal cooperation, solidarity, and the shared commitment to service delivery and community development.

“We are thankful for this donation. Thanks to the City of Windhoek for recognising our operational needs and responding with such generosity. ” Klazen says.

Klazen says the donation inspires collaborative efforts in pursuing local development objectives.

Resident Aurora Millers says the donation shows that the City of Windhoek cares about the well-being and positive development of Rehoboth.

“We are pleased to see there are towns whose willing to help support each other. This push into the right direction will surely help to make Rehoboth a better place.

“This is an indication that we can help and support each other’s dreams and vision even though we don’t live in the same towns. Together, we can make our country great,” Millers says.
