Christmas Sing Out promises a fun-filled free concert

FESTIVE … Letti G is one of the performers on Saturday.

Gospel music fans are in for a musical treat this Saturday at My Happy Place, located across from the Avani Hotel & Casino, when the free live event Early Christmas Sing Out takes place.

Youth One Africa, a non-denominational intercessory movement whose mission is to bring about spiritual awakening, impact young people through sustainable projects and revitalise communities, is organising the event.

The event, with the theme ‘Oh come, let us adore Him: Luke 2v15–18’, will feature live music, spoken word and prayers for the holiday season, according to the organisers.

One of the event’s organisers and performers, gospel musician Dr Alfons, says the goal of the free performance is to create an amazing night of glory with the spirit of Christmas as we approach the season of love and joy.

“Part of the event’s vision is to engage with upcoming gospel artists and create a platform of engagement, unity and togetherness as we sing Christmas carols for the young and old,” says Dr Alfons.

Up to 15 well-known gospel performers will be performing at the occasion, entertaining the crowd.

“We will also be distributing small gifts for children and food parcels for vulnerable families at the event,” he says.

The programme will get underway at 17h00.
