Chiluba may need new heart

Lusaka – Medical doctors who are treating Zambia’s ex-president Frederick Chiluba are considering carrying out a heart transplant following the deterioration of his cardiac problem, his aide announced on Saturday.

“The doctors have informed us that Chiluba’s cardiac illness is serious to the point where heart transplantation is now under consideration,” Mwamba said.
