Children in the Wilderness boosts rural education with school uniforms and supplies

Children in the Wilderness Namibia has donated uniforms, stationery and books to underprivileged children across six conservancies to support their education and school participation.

In a statement Monday, the organisation said the donation was made to THF Gaeb Primary School in the Doro!Nawas conservancy, Jakob Basson Combined School in the Torra conservancy, Elias Amxab Combined School in the Sesfontein conservancy, Otjinungua Primary School in the Marienfluss conservancy, Otjetjekua Primary School in the Ehi Rovipuka conservancy, and Warmquelle Primary School in the Anabeb conservancy.

“Each pupil received a school uniform, stationery, and prescribed curriculum books that the government is unable to provide for,” the statement reads.

By providing these essential items, the organisation aims to ensure every Namibian child can attend school dressed in a complete uniform, and to encourage them to engage fully with the educational materials they received.

The organisation mentioned that its ultimate goal is to foster an environment in which pupils can concentrate in class and participate confidently in school activities, setting them on a path towards success in their studies.
