MONTPELLIER – Two rugby fans, who streaked during a World Cup match wearing just fake Sebastien Chabal-style beards and long wigs, were banned from sports grounds for three months yesterday.
“It was a good-humoured gesture and I asked the court if the fact that it made 35 000 spectators and millions of television watchers happy constituted a crime,” said the pair’s lawyer Alexandra Grevin.
