Central bank keeps repurchase rate unchanged

The Bank of Namibia has maintained the repo rate unchanged at 7,75 per cent.

Announcing the decision on Wednesday, the central bank’s Monetary Policy Committee says the decision was made following a comprehensive review of domestic, regional and global economic developments.

The central bank says the decision is meant to safeguard the peg between the Namibia dollar and the South African rand while supporting the domestic economy.
