Cenored plans three-day power outage at Otjozondjupa village

The Central Northern Regional Electricity Distributor has announced planned power interruptions at Okahitua in the Oakakarara constituency for urgent maintenance purposes.

According to a notice issued by Cenored on Tuesday, power supply will be interrupted today, and on 27 and 29 March between 07h00 and 17h00.

“The reason for the outage is for Cenored to do urgent line maintenance,” the notice says.

The outages will affect multiple areas connected to the Okahitua network, including the Orunahi, Omupanda, Ombuyovakuru, Ongombombonde, Okatuuo and Otumborombonga villages.

Okaepe Combined School, Okahitua Primary School and Okorandu Clinic will also be affected, along with telecommunications infrastructure in some areas.

Cenored says the work is aimed at improving reliability and preventing unplanned outages in the future.
