WINDHOEK – Spectator admission to the Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (Cosafa) Castle Cup Plate semi-final on Tuesday will be free.
A media statement issued by the Namibia Football Association (NFA) on Monday said entrance to the Sam Nujoma Stadium for the Namibia versus Mozambique match that takes place at 19H30, will be free and preceded by a match between Zambia and Lesotho at 17H00.
The Plate semi-finals are for the teams that lost in the quarterfinals of the Cosafa Castle Cup.
The Brave Warriors lost 5-4 on penalties to Botswana after playing to a one-all draw in 90 minutes.
“We really feel the need to show appreciation for the support the team received on Saturday. This is our way of thanking all those who braved the weather,” NFA secretary general Barry Rukoro was quoted as saying in the statement.
Football fans will however have to obtain tickets at the NFA’s Football House, as they will be required to display the tickets to gain entry to the stadium. – Nampa
