Caretaker found killed

A WINDHOEK couple returned from an overseas holiday to a horror discovery on Tuesday: they found their caretaker dead and tied up in a chair in their home.

Setson Namashana (27) was dressed only in a pair of trousers. His hands were tied behind his back and his legs were tied together.Namashana was found at a house situated just metres away from the Parliament building. The owner of the Love Street house, Wolfgang Rapp, declined to speak to The Namibian yesterday.Police suspect that Namashana was killed at least two days before his body was discovered. The cause of death had not been determined by yesterday, although sources indicate that he could have been suffocated.Police have opened a case of murder and robbery. The suspects, Police say, made off with at least N$9 000 that was stored in a safe on the premises, as well as a number of household items, including a digital camera and a cellphone.Namashana had apparently been in the employ of the Rapps since January. His family has been informed of his death. The Police have asked the public to assist them in their investigation.Anyone with information on the crime can contact Inspector Unandapo at 081 124 0521, or the nearest Police station.
