I AM a student at the PON, studying information technology 1st year. I just turned voting age last month. My concern is that I don’t know who to vote for the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections.
My question is directed to the Electoral Commission: is there no way that they could stage public debates on live television with all presidential candidates going head to head with each other about their agendas for taking over or continuing with the presidency? I think I speak for most undecided voters out there. We would all love to know the intellectual capacity and agendas of whoever is going to be entrusted with our future. I stand corrected but USA is the greatest nation in world and we might as well take a page from their book.Sitwala eliVia e-mailNote: You request is an absolutely legitimate one and some of us have been suggesting this very thing! It would be wonderful if (presidential) candidates would agree to a debate like the one you suggest. In that way voters can make informed choices based on issues rather than emotions, and on how the candidates handle themselves in a public debate.
