Broken bottle used to gouge at eyes of young woman

A 20-year-old woman from Gobabis has been left scarred and possibly blinded for life after a horrific attack in which an 18-year-old man allegedly used a broken bottle to stab her in the face.

The man accused of carrying out the attack, Conrad Kharigub, remains in Police custody after he appeared before Magistrate Johannes Shuuveni in the Gobabis Magistrate’s Court on charges of attempted murder and rape on Wednesday.
