Brit gets bail after murder arrest

Millionaire British businessman Harvey Boulter, who is charged with murder after a shooting incident in which one of his employees was fatally injured at Boulter’s Outjo district game farm on 27 February, was granted bail of N$500 000 in the Windhoek High Court today.

Judge Claudia Claasen granted Boulter (51) bail in an appeal judgement on condition that he should stay at a fixed address in Windhoek, his passport should remain with the police, he should report to the police in Windhoek every Wednesday, and he may not leave the Windhoek district without the permission of the police officer in charge of the investigation of his case.

Boulter is accused of having murdered farm manager Gerhard van Wyk (54) by shooting him in the abdomen during a braai at Boulter’s farm, Kaross, situated between Kamanjab and Etosha National Park.
