A great all round performance by Sarel Burger inspired Namibia to a 23-run victory against North West in their T20 match at the Trustco United field on Sunday.
Burger scored 53 runs to help Namibia score 172 for six wickets off their 20 overs, and then took four wickets for 29 runs to dismiss North West for 149 runs.

Burger however struck with a brilliant bowling spell in the 13th over, to take three wickets in five balls as North West slumped to 106 for five wickets. The visitors could not recover as Namibia completed a comfortable victory.

Baard went on to score 38 off 32 balls, and although Gerhard Erasmus (0) and Nicolaas Scholtz (1) both went cheaply, Sarel Burger steadied the ship with a fine innings.
He was eventually out for 53 off 43 balls which included two fours and two sixes.
Raymond van Schoor added 32 off 20 balls as Namibia reached 172 for six off their 20 overs.
North West got off to a quick start as Tebogo Mokoena and Neil Bredenkamp put on 80 runs for the first wicket off only eight overs.
Christi Viljoen however dismissed Bredenkamp for 39 while Mokoena followed in quick succession when he was dismissed for 46 after a great run out by Raymond van Schoor.
At 105/2, North West were in control, but Burger changed the course of the game as he took three wickets in five balls as North West slumped to 106 for five wickets.
Namibia piled on the pressure with some great fielding and bowling and with JJ Smit also getting amongst the wickets, North West crumbled to 149 all out.
Burger ended with four wickets for 29 runs, while Smit took three wickets for 36 runs.
