Bots inflation jumps to 7,7%

JOHANNESBURG – Botswana’s consumer inflation rose in November for the second consecutive month to 7,7 per cent year-on-year on rising food prices, official data showed yesterday.

“The widening gap between the inflation rate and the upper limit of the Bank of Botswana inflation objective for 2007 of four to seven per cent was due principally to rising food prices,” the Bank of Botswana said in a statement on its website. Nampa-ReutersNampa-Reuters
