Bomb threat at Hosea Kutako Airport false alarm

The Namibian Police confirmed that the bomb scare at the Hosea Kutako International Airport was a false alarm.

Police spokesperson deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi on Tuesday afternoon said they were alerted and their explosives experts were dispatched to the airport.

“All necessary security checks were done and so far the airline is cleared and free from explosives. It was a false alarm,” she said.

The Namibia Airports Company confirmed the threat earlier on Tuesday.
