FORGET about blue Mondays, Namibia’s Free Your Mind (FYM) crew is at large again with another type of blue.
This time around, a night of fun and laughter to chase the blues of any day away, ‘Blues My Mind’. The upcoming show, slated for this Thursday (April 7), is a follow-up to the Free’N’dom show recently held at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN).The chuckles and giggles are set to start at 19h30 at the 99FM Playhouse Theatre. One of the Free Your Mind comedians, Bravo Nghipumbwa, also known as ‘Bravo the Brain’, is promising spectators a night to remember.’Fans should come out in numbers, we will blow their minds away, it will be something new and different,’ said Nghipumbwa. The comedy show has received praise from fans who regularly attend FYM. Some have even taken to social networking site Facebook to charge that our very own local comedians are even better than South African stand-up comic, Trevor Noah, who presented his one-man show in Windhoek last week. Quizzed about the theme of Thursday’s show, the comedian said: ”Blues My Mind’ is when a person says something to you and you will go like WOW!’Nghipumbwa described the Free Your Mind Shows as ‘nerve-wrackingly funny’.He said up to five Namibian comedians will be taking centre stage to ensure that every funny bone is tickled. Entry is N$60 and tickets are available at the Bank Windhoek Theatre School, Universal Sounds and the 99FM Playhouse Theatre.
