Big Brother Africa: Northern bonanza for ‘Untouchables’

WELL, I spoke to Six of Bennies at Ongwediva late yesterday afternoon and he told me that the ‘Untouchables’ were “in the air and on their way” to Namibia! So by the time the newspaper goes to bed they should be in the country.

That’s a relief after all the angst and anticipation on Wednesday – I understand that problems with the telephone line to the North played a part in scuppering the housemates’ travel and party plans on Wednesday. Anyway, Bennies Entertainment Park and Lodge is arranging their visit to the North, and it looks like a royal reception awaits the five housemates: Meryl, Kwaku, Max, Lerato and Bertha. On Saturday morning the ‘Untouchables’ will tour Oshakati and Ongwediva accompanied by an organised motorcade, with the Oshakati Bikers’ Association out in full force. That tour is expected to start at around 10h30.The housemates will also be available to sign some autographs. At 19h00, they will be the guests of honour at a cocktail party sponsored by Red Bull and hosted by Bennies. This will be followed by a welcoming party at Club Ivory at Bennies. Then on Sunday the housemates will get the full traditional treatment with a braai at Bennies Garden – members of the public are welcome to come along and chat with the ‘Untouchables’.The crowd will be entertained by Jossy Joss and Fresh Family. There will also be traditional dances and music.Bennies is providing accommodation for the housemates in the North, while BBA 2’s ‘Untouchables’ are being proudly (yeah, we’re proud of the ‘Untouchables’!) flown by Air Namibia. For more information, you can contact Fidel at 081 270 3821, or Six at 081 124 2924.* At the time of going to press, we were unable to confirm whether there will still be any event in Windhoek for the housemates.Keep your ears open, your eyes peeled and your BBA network going!Anyway, Bennies Entertainment Park and Lodge is arranging their visit to the North, and it looks like a royal reception awaits the five housemates: Meryl, Kwaku, Max, Lerato and Bertha. For more information, you can contact Fidel at 081 270 3821, or Six at 081 124 2924.* At the time of going to press, we were unable to confirm whether there will still be any event in Windhoek for the housemates.Keep your ears open, your eyes peeled and your BBA network going!
