Big Brother Africa Addiction: JR Ewing’s in the house

EISH, peeps! Here we are just short of a month of Big Brother Africa ending and I’m still being inundated with requests for news on the housemates.

Seems the couples factor has propelled BBA 2 into a semi-soapie dimension. But there’s no script writer and the episodes are as erratic as some of the housemates’ behaviour.Maybe they should draft in ‘Egoli’s’ Shaleen Surtie-Richards, that barometer of soapie morality, to advise the couples on how to sustain a plot!! That should leave more than a few fans clutching their bosoms, and reaching for the tissues! Issues, issues, issues. And more tissues.Mainly Richiana today. As erratic as they might be, reports about Richard, his wife Ricki and Tatiana refuse to fade away.Hella, but I can’t fathom the Bezuidenhout family. In soapie terms, they seem to have put the pedal on the metal and shifted gear from ‘Egoli’ to ‘Dallas’: Richard’s Dad Vincent, aka Vincent B, is now starting to come across like the patriarchal JR Ewing. He has not only ‘helped’ his son decide on what to do with the money, but seems to be trying to ‘guide’ him when it comes to the women in his life too.Seems guided democracy is alive and well and doing the dollar dance in Tanzania! Vincent B has already made his view on wife Ricki clear. She may be ready to make nice – all too quickly, according to some – with Richard, but if reports coming out of Tanzania are to be believed, the family want her evicted.Period.Reports also persist that Tatiana and Richard are not over …In addition to apparently using his brother Louis’s phone to call Tati, Richard is reportedly also communicating with his house love via e-mail.But it seems that Tatiana – who only a few short weeks ago was smiled on by Vincent B as a better option than Ricki – is now regarded in some quarters in Tanzania as “too loose” for the virtuous Richard. Can someone please step up to the plate and shine his halo!! Aikona, peeps! Tati’s not a nun, but I defy anyone to tell me that Richard’s a monk! The only thing that does seem to be locked up in a chastity belt, is hardcore news on Richiana, Rich-Ricki! – December 4 2007But there’s no script writer and the episodes are as erratic as some of the housemates’ behaviour.Maybe they should draft in ‘Egoli’s’ Shaleen Surtie-Richards, that barometer of soapie morality, to advise the couples on how to sustain a plot!!
