WHERE in the world is Biggie headmistress? Is she looking for new interesting characters to spice things up in the house or has she simply grown tired of the current housemates?
Who knows! All I know is Sarah’s voice has not been heard for days. Not a bad thing really, her voice grates like a nagging mother or disappointed school teacher. The diary room has changed too. Instead of the funky space, all that’s left is a whitewashed room that resembles what I imagine an insane asylum to look like. In the diary room lay a note, which read: ‘Big Brother got bored and has left the building. Big Brother has gone to look for other housemates and this particular Big Brother house has been left on automatic. If inspired, Big Brother may return. Housemates, in the garden you will find … whatever. Don’t forget the Task presentation!’Eish!HELPLINEWith only a telephone as a means of contacting Biggie, the housemates are slowly going mad as they are repetitively confronted with the wackiest messages under the sun. Tuesday night I laughed out loud as Jeremy and Emma were told that the Big Brother Helpline has been discontinued due to a high volume of calls, they also had a relaxing voice telling them to breathe deeply and allow all the stresses of the day to melt away. Shame, the housemates really seem lost without the structure that Biggie brings to their days. This week, it seems – there are no tasks. No official ones anyways but the housemates gathered in the garden yesterday morning to brainstorm some sort of task to keep them busy while Biggie’s away. With Eddie leading the discussion, they talked about doing some sort of an improvised acting play or musical. Eddie seems to have become the house’s main source of entertainment. Plus his prankster ways seem to have gained somewhat of a cult following, within and outside of the house. Jeremy, ever lacking in originality – decided to take a leaf out of Eddie’s prankster book on Tuesday night. He waited for all housemates to go to sleep before placing one of the big, heavy statues in front of the toilet door. Maybe being nominated has motivated him to up his game a little? Pity he chose to copy Eddie instead of coming up with something of his own. ‘OLD COUPLE’I personally feel he can step it up a bit with Emma. I read an SMS on the BBA strap line the other day that said, Jemma are the most boring couple in BBA history. I have to agree. They are just too sweet, they never argue or get passionate. Do you guys remember Richiana from BBA2? Their relationship was filled with heated arguments and screaming matches. Followed of course with delicious make-up sessions. Now that was a couple to go down in the BBA couple hall of fame. Even Max and Lerato’s little arguments and drunken fumblings were more entertaining than boring old Jemma. Speaking of couples, Big Brother Africa’s newest couple were at IT again on Tuesday night. Yes, at IT! While everyone was sleeping, there was a suspicious shuffling and gyrating coming from their bed. The two started kissing passionately, and soon Leonel was on top of Mzamo, her arms flung around his neck, as the two did the horizontal love dance. The clip is up on the BBA website and I was a little shocked to see someone sleeping in the bed right next to them. I don’t know exactly who it was, looked like Elizabeth. She had those aeroplane eyeshade thingies on but I wonder if she heard any of the moaning going on in the bed right next to her. Also wonder if the sound effects will get her all worked up and randy for Kevin. Kevin’s tactic – as advised by Itai, of not paying much attention to Elizabeth for a few days, seems to be working. Either that or the pressure is getting to her. Before her big blow-out with Itai on Tuesday night she was guzzling beer after beer like someone with the world on their shoulders. Since then, she has been a little kinder and more receptive to Kevin’s advances but I don’t think he’ll be getting sumthin’ sumthin’ any time soon. FRIDAY SURPRISEMeanwhile, Nigerian superstar entertainer D’Banj is set to make a very special two-hour appearance on Friday, October 30, at 20h00.
