Big Brother Africa 4: Keri Hilson to bring energy to BBA house

THE housemates are in for one of the coolest surprises ever.
On Friday R&B singer Keri Hilson will spend a couple of hours with them in the Big Brother Africa house.

The American singing sensation and 2009 BET Best New Artist is currently in South Africa performing a series of concerts with R&B/soul singer John Legend. Keri will make what should be an exciting two-hour appearance on Friday at 20h00. While in the house she will meet and chat to the housemates while also performing two songs. I can just imagine how excited the remaining 14 housemates will be; after all, the ‘Energy’ singer is hot with a capital H! Her debut album ‘In a Perfect World’ won her international attention and her singles ‘Energy’, ‘Return The Favour’, ‘Turnin’ Me On’ and ‘Knock You Down’, featuring Ne-Yo and Kanye West, are blazing up the airwaves on local and international radio stations. Poor Hanny. He would have loved it! RECYCLINGAs for this week’s task, the guys are getting in touch with their creative sides and going green. No, they didn’t get a secret delivery of the holy herb. This week’s task – the Cultural Revolution – is all about recycling. First they were supplied with a whole yard full of empty cooldrink cans and a large canvas. The housemates have been at it bashing used cans into shape to create their design. Their plan is to make their design in the shape of the African continent. It seems the cans will be flattened and sewn into the cloth to create the typically African kente cloth. Their canned kente cloth is sure to be a feast for the eyes as the housemates elected fashion designer K1 to take the reins in overseeing the project. They were supplied with cans, paints and other arty supplies to create a huge, mural type artwork on canvas. It will be interesting to see what Kaone can come up with. Judging by the tacky home-sewn designs he has tried to showcase while in the house, he has yet to wow me with his flair for fashion and design. SAVE EDDIE!In the meantime, our Edward is up for nomination, again! Eish, can’t they just leave our guy be for a while? Poor Eddie really seems to be missing his boys, he has been complaining that the house is no fun anymore and chatted to Liz about the girls being too uptight – specifically referring to Elizabeth who he said looks about ready to slap or punch him whenever he tries to joke around or prank her.I really liked Elizabeth at the start of this game but she just seems too cold and calculated now, as if she doesn’t have emotions like the rest of the housemates. Poor old Kevin has been trying to mack on her for a couple of weeks but she shoots him down every time. Seems like cracking a smile is too much to ask. Anyways, as per the pairings, Emma and Edward are up against Guccilicious Liz and K1. It’s always hard to say who will be evicted, so you have to keep voting to keep your favourites in the house. I never know how the rest of Africa will vote, so I’m anxiously voting to keep Eddie in the house. Hope you guys are too!* You can watch Big Brother Africa 24 hours a day on DStv channel 198. The daily show, live nominations and eviction shows will be broadcast on M-Net Africa (DStv channel 102). Africa Magic (DStv channel 107) will broadcast all repeats.
